Delivery
Commins & Co Jewellers aims to deliver your purchase in perfect condition and as soon as possible. All deliveries are made through registered post and typically arrive within 1-5 working days. However, if your item is being custom designed, the delivery time may vary up to 5 weeks, and we will provide you with an accurate expected arrival date.
The delivery charges for our products are as follows:
Ireland: Free delivery within 3-4 working days.
Europe: €45.00 for delivery within 7-10 working days.
Rest of world: €45.00 for delivery within 10-15 working days
All orders from the EU include 23% VAT, and non-EU orders exclude 23% VAT. The customer must cover all duties and taxes on import to non-EU destinations.
Commins & Co Jewellers reserves the right to revise and amend the delivery information whenever necessary.
Returns Policy
Commins & Co Jewellers allows for exchanges or refunds within 30 days of purchase. This period starts on the day you receive an email stating your order has been dispatched. Please contact us by phone or email in advance of a return, as this will allow us to arrange the return of the item within our own stock system.
Change of Mind
We want our customers to love their jewellery, and therefore it is important to take care when ordering your jewellery, especially with rings. Some rings cannot be resized and need to be remade to fit perfectly, and it is crucial to order the correct size. If you are unsure of the size to order, please get in touch with us for guidance.
Unworn items can be returned to our Jewellers in Powerscourt Townhouse in Dublin City centre for exchange or refund within 30 days. Alternatively, returns can be posted back if the customer bears the cost of return shipment and insurance. All returned items must be insured, and we cannot accept any courier charges on delivery of an item to us. Returns must be made through the post office unless the customer covers a courier cost. Return post by courier is the safest way of ensuring the item makes it back to us.
For exchanges, the shipment cost of any newly chosen item plus any import tax or duties must be covered by the customer if based outside the Republic of Ireland.
Bespoke made pieces and special order items cannot be returned, unless there is a manufacturing fault.
Engraved items are non-returnable and non-refundable in most cases. Depending on the item it may be possible to return it subject to a re-polish fee. Acceptance of items in this case is at the discretion of Commins & Co.
Faulty Returns
Faulty items will only be accepted back if they were delivered damaged, and they are accepted if a fault shows up within the warranty period of 12 months. If this is the case, we will arrange a free repair, replacement, or refund. We will also cover the cost of any items shipped to you as a result.
Our workshop will examine the returned items carefully. In the event of impacts, tampering, wear or other damage not caused by us, we cannot accept it back and will post it back to you without refund.
Warranty
All items sold by Commins & Co Jewellers come with a 1-year warranty, covering any manufacturing defects. All our jewellery is made to a very high standard, and any wear and tear or damage after delivery is the customer’s responsibility. Any work carried out on the item by a third party will invalidate your warranty. Contact us immediately if there is any issue with your jewellery piece, and we strongly recommend that you fully insure your diamond jewellery with your home.
Repairs, Resetting and Reusing Rings/Jewellery
We don’t generally work on products which were not created by us but we may make exceptions to this at our discretion. However, we cannot accept liability for damage, loss or problems caused while the product is being worked on. Our team of craftspeople are experts and make every effort to ensure these things are avoided but work of this kind is undertaken only on condition of non-liability.
NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS
We will not under any circumstances be liable to the Customer by reason of any representation or warranty, condition or other term or any duty of common law, or under the express terms of these terms, for any consequential, special, incidental or punitive loss or damage (whether for loss of current or future profits, loss of enterprise value or otherwise) and whether occasioned by our negligence, or that of our employees or agents or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
LIABILITY NOT EXCLUDED
18.1 Nothing in this these conditions of sale shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, or that of any of our employees or agents, nor shall they operate to exclude or limit any statutory rights which cannot be legally excluded or limited, including the statutory rights of a consumer.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These terms expressly incorporate our Privacy Statement. Together, they contain the entire understanding and agreement between the Supplier and the Customer relating to the sale of products to the Customer through this website.
LANGUAGE
This Agreement is drafted and concluded in the English language. If this Agreement is translated into any other language, the English language text shall prevail.
GOVERNING LAW
These conditions of sale shall be governed by Irish law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
What You Should Know About Returns
- If you return a piece of jewellery that was bought on sale, we can only offer you the price you paid for it, not the full price.
- For hygiene reasons, we can’t accept returned pierced earrings.
- However, we cannot accept returned jewellery that has been worn or shows any signs of wear.
- If you return an item to us after the 100 day period is over, we may still refund you at our discretion or offer store credit.
- Refunded money will be restored to the original credit card used to purchase ASAP but within 30 days of your order.
- Our refund policy does not affect your statutory right
- Commins & Co Jewellers have the right to revise and amend this returns policy from time to time.
