In just a matter of hours, Prince Harry will marry Meghan Markle in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle and we will finally know if our royal wedding theories and predictions were right.
So much speculation has led up to this big day and soon we will finally know the answers to our questions, like, who designed her dress? What celebrities will be in attendance? Who will perform at the reception?
Already there has been some drama leading up to the ceremony as just last week Meghan’s father decided that he was unable to walk his daughter down the aisle so now Prince Charles will fill in. Here are some of the things we already know about this wedding:
The Flowers
It is believed that the flowers will be peonies, foxgloves and white roses- all of Meghan’s favourites. The flowers will be locally sourced and the white flowers are rumoured to be a nod to Princess Diana as white flowers were her favourite.
The Engagement Ring
Prince Harry designed Meghan’s ring himself with two diamonds belonging to his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales. Meghan’s engagement ring is a beautiful round brilliant trilogy style engagement ring set in yellow gold.
The Guests
Already we have seen a whole host of celebrities arrive including Oprah, the Beckhams, Idris Elba, James Corden, Meghan’s ‘Suits’ co-stars and many more. Due to Meghan’s celebrity status, this wedding is expected to have many A-listers in attendance.
Bridesmaids and Groomsmen
All of Meghan’s bridesmaids are under the age of 7, this is believed to be deliberate as choosing between her friends was too emotionally draining. Her little bridesmaids will include Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, 3. Prince Harry will have 8 ushers including his brother Prince William.
The Dress
Who designed the dress has caused perhaps the most speculation in the lead up to the big day with some betting outlets have to suspend bets due to huge amount of interest in it. Designers like Alexander McQueen and Ralph & Russo have been heavily tipped to be designing her gown but we know that with Meghan’s great sense of style, it’s going to be stunning regardless!
The Wedding Day
Like all royal weddings, the day will be highly regimented with strict rules and regulations. Members of the public have received invitations to wait in the grounds outside the chapel to watch the bride and groom on their big day. There will be a dress code for all the attending guests and it has also be reported that guests received a strict guidance for the big day.
